Road Building In Mammoth Cave National Park

Published 1936

National Archives description: "Unedited film. A rope-drawn ferry carries a truck across a stream and trucks dump rocks at a crushing plant. Men place rocks on a conveyor belt, dig in rocky hillside, construct a building, rake gravel dumped by a truck, and remove debris from an abandoned shack that is demolished by a caterpillar truck. A man displays a battered McKinley-Hobart 1896 presidential campaign poster. A tractor tows a road-scraper. Shows a rocky and a muddy road. Tourists are guided into the cave and look at its ceiling."
